Sculpture provides me with unique ways of actualizing visual ideas—sometimes as objects, at other times as participatory environments—both freestanding and suspended.  In making sculpture, I enjoy relinquishing control, freely manipulating my materials and allowing concept and physical structure to be directed by the “will” of these materials—their inherent properties, flexibility, tensile strength, texture, and behavior.
